GHA released its 2026 economic impact report highlighting the $145 billion that Georgia hospitals contribute to the state's economy. Based on 2024 data, the report reflects an $8 billion, or 5.8%, increase over the previous year.

Individual hospital economic impact data is now accessible in the member folders on gha.org, where you can access a one-pager graphic with your hospital's economic impact information and a news release template.

GHA partnered with IMPLAN® to develop these economic impact figures and utilized data from the Georgia Department of Community Health Annual Hospital Questionnaire and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services Cost Report.
