Carol Tuttas, PhD, RN, Clinical Manager, Team Lead, Qualivis/Aya Healthcare

Carol Tuttas has over 30 years of RN experience, including 10 years of workforce solutions industry experience. Dr. Tuttas excels as a navigator and coach for healthcare professionals across various disciplines. She currently serves as a clinical manager for Aya Healthcare, parent company of Qualivis, where she is directly involved in support and quality management of healthcare staff. Her clinical nursing background launched in acute intermediate cardiac settings, progressing to acute and post-acute nursing administrative and executive roles. For eight years, Dr. Tuttas served in the global healthcare environment, fulfilling executive appointments in the field of international healthcare credentials evaluation for the Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools in Philadelphia, PA. Dr. Tuttas is published in both academic and grey literature. Her research interests center on nursing workforce utilization and sustainability. She earned her BSN at Lynn University, her master’s degree in nursing administration and finance at Florida Atlantic University, and her PhD in nursing at the University of Miami in Coral Gables FL.

 

Arvin Juan, MS, DVP, Program Management, Qualivis/Aya Healthcare


Arvin Juan has 17 years in healthcare workforce solutions. Arvin is Division Vice President of Strategic Program Management at Aya Healthcare, parent company of Qualivis, and co-leads the Workforce Innovation Research Initiative, a national study of how hospitals and health systems are solving workforce challenges through technology and strategic redesign. Over the past five years, he has deepened his expertise in analytics and AI, leveraging public datasets to uncover actionable insights into healthcare workforce dynamics. Arvin partners with integrated delivery networks, academic medical centers, government systems, and community hospitals to design enterprise labor management strategies and operating models. His current research examines patterns in workforce management, technology adoption, and organizational design, connecting on-the-ground operational experience with data-driven evidence to help leaders gain traction on high-impact innovations. He holds an MS in Analytics (Computational Data Analytics) from the Georgia Institute of Technology.

Qualivis/Aya Healthcare researched the current state of healthcare workforce innovation through nationwide interviews, surveys, and a contemporary literature review. The results of the study yielded that where readiness meets action, innovation becomes real. In this presentation, the speakers will share insights and practical strategies gained from research that propel organizations from intent to implementation, unlocking the energy to equip the healthcare workforce for today and the future.
